BUP Admission Circular 2024 | All Unit Details

BUP Admission Circular 2024 has been published. The start date of the online application is December 17, 2023. The official website admission bup.edu.bd is where students will submit their applications. Apply for BUP Admission individually, unit per unit, via this page. December is when BUP Circular 2024 is released. Applications are open for BUP Admission 2023–24 session to all eligible students. The web-based application has begun. Here are the unit-by-unit requirements, application fee, and application timeline.

BUP Circular 2023-24

The admission test schedule has already been made public. The dates of the admission exam are set for January 19 and 20, 2024. The admission test has a lot of information that should be known. To get admitted to BUP, an applicant must pass the admission exam. On different dates, there will be entrance exams for each section.

BUP Admission Circular 2024

The admission result for the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) will be released on bup.edu.bd in 2023. Students can get their results by entering their roll number in the unit-wise field. The Authority can also provide them with Mobile SMS results.

Important Deadlines:

  • Online Application Submission: 17 December 2023 to 04 January 2024 (Apply online through admission.bup.edu.bd)
  • List of Eligible Candidates for the Written Exam will be published on 07 January 2024
  • Admit Cards can be downloaded: from 14 January 2024 onward.
  • Publication of Merit List of selected candidates: 23 January 2024

BUP Undergraduate Admission Eligibility

To apply for BUP Admission 2023-24, follow the required eligibility and qualification for your chosen unit(s). If you meet the criteria, Now, you can apply for one or multiple units.

Unit: 1. Faculty of Science and Technology (FST):
  • Pass SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent exams from the science discipline/group.
  • Science Group candidates need a total GPA of 9.25 with a minimum GPA of 4.50 in each exam.
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) O and A level background candidates must pass in a minimum of 05 (five) and 02 (two) subjects, respectively, with a minimum of 26.5 points based on the provided scale.
2. Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies (FSSS):
  • Pass SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent exams from any discipline/group.
  • Science Group candidates need a total GPA of 8.50 with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in each exam.
  • Business Studies Group candidates need a total GPA of 8.25 with a minimum GPA of 3.75 in each exam.
  • Humanities Group candidates need a total GPA of 8.25 with a minimum GPA of 3.75 in each exam.
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) O and A level background candidates must pass in a minimum of 05 (five) and 02 (two) subjects, respectively, with a minimum of 26.5 points.
3. Faculty of Business Studies (FBS):
  • Pass SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent exams from any discipline/group.
  • Science Group candidates need a total GPA of 9.00 with a minimum GPA of 4.25 in each exam.
  • Business Studies Group candidates need a total GPA of 8.50 with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in each exam.
  • Humanities Group candidates need a total GPA of 8.50 with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in each exam.
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) O and A level background candidates must pass in a minimum of 05 (five) and 02 (two) subjects, respectively, with a minimum of 26.5 points.

4. Faculty of Arts and Social Science (FASS):

  • Pass SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent exams from any discipline/group.
  • Science Group candidates need a total GPA of 9.00 with a minimum GPA of 4.50 in each exam.
  • Business Studies Group candidates need a total GPA of 8.50 with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in each exam.
  • Humanities Group candidates need a total GPA of 8.00 with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in each exam.
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) O and A level background candidates must pass in a minimum of 05 (five) and 02 (two) subjects, respectively, with a minimum of 26.5 points.

So, Candidates will have to sit for a written test (MCQ) of 80 marks. Students opting for ICE must have Mathematics, and those opting for Environmental Science must have Biology in HSC as their compulsory/optional (4th subject) subject. Students opting for both ICE and Environmental Science must have both Mathematics and Biology at the HSC level.

BUP Eligible List 2024

On January 7, 2024, the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) released the Eligible List 2024 for the Written Exam. The Admit Card is capable of being downloaded by those who made the short list after coming in with their User ID and Password. Then, Visit the official admissions website, admission.bup.edu.bd, to view the Eligible List, or see it below. The list contains the Admission Roll Numbers, and the email address, name, and father’s name of the applicant can be used to confirm their eligibility.

BUP Admit Card

The BUP Admit Card for FASS, FSSS, FBS, and FST will be available starting on January 14, 2024. The Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Admit Card 2023–24 can be downloaded here.

  • Visit admission.bup.edu.bd.
  • Go to the Login Option.
  • Enter your User ID and Password.
  • Complete the Security Check.
  • Click the Submit button.
  • Download the Admit Card.

Therefore, In case you applied for more than one unit, don’t forget to download individual Admit Cards for every faculty. You can retrieve your User ID and Password from the Login menu by selecting the “Forgot Password” option.

BUP Admission Test Marks Distribution

The Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) 2023 mark distribution and question pattern are already available. An OMR method will be used for the admission exam, and each wrong answer will result in the deduction of 0.25 marks.
